Ashley Sattler is an artist from Beaumont, Texas. She designs T-shirts, paints original artwork, and more. She also uses her talents to make her community more inclusive. In this post, we’ll learn more about her work.
What Does Ashley Do?
Ashley creates art for many people and places. She designs shirts and canvases on her iPad. Her artwork appears on a bench at a local park. She also created a window display for Stormie’s SnoCones & Tshirts with a holiday theme based on the movie Elf. One of her paintings even hangs in the Texas Capitol! Ashley shares how this feels in the clip below.

Ashley volunteers her talents, too. She does face painting at events with The Arc of Greater Beaumont. She also designed a communication board for a local museum. The board helps kids and adults who have trouble speaking. It lets them use pictures to express their needs and wants.
What Does She Like Most About Her Job?
Ashley loves being creative and seeing people enjoy her work. When people wear her shirts or use her designs, it makes her feel proud. She also loves helping others discover what makes them happy.
Ashley also likes that she can work mostly from home. She takes care of her nieces and nephews. That makes it hard to travel to and from work. As an artist, she can do her work whenever she needs to.
What Does She Like Least About Her Job?
Time can be a challenge. Ashley works hard to make every design detailed and high quality. But some projects have tight deadlines. That can create stress.
How Did She Get Started?
Ashley started sketching cartoon dogs at her grandma’s house. She learned on her own and just kept going! She even taught herself digital design by watching videos.
Ashley’s Advice for Aspiring Artists
“Take a chance!” Ashley says. Everyone has different opinions, but you’ll never know what people like until you share your work. Even criticism can help you grow.
